The optical fiber is set into the loose tube made of high-modulus polyester material, with the tube filled with waterproofing compounds. A layer of double-sided plastic-coated steel strip is used to longitudinally wrap the loose tube. Water-blocking materials are applied between the steel strip and the loose tube to ensure compactness and longitudinal wrap water blocking of the optical cable.
