Set 4, 6, 8 and 12-core optical fiber ribbons into loose tubes made of high-modulus materials, and the loose tubes are filled with waterproof compounds. The center of the cable core is a metal reinforced core. For some optical cables with several cores, a layer of polyethylene (PE) needs to be extruded outside the metal reinforced core. The loose tubes and filling ropes are twisted around the central reinforced core to form a compact and round cable core. The gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking fillers, and the plastic-coated aluminum tapes are longitudinally wrapped and extruded.
